Just over 2 weeks ago this sailboat ended up on the beach at Gold Beach. From what I understand it was on it's way from Portland to the San Francisco bay area and only made it this far. There has been precious little reporting on how this actually happened but I heard that the caption walked away from it. One newspaper said that a salvage company was to remove it but so far they are sure taking their time. Meanwhile it's made for some interesting photography.
