The Frog Blog

Dave took the kids frog-hunting on Saturday. (Apparently, we have a resident bull snake whose favorite main course is frog-legs). They found a great mud puddle up the south fork of Hunter Creek. After capturing five reddish brown frogs and five tadpoles in our sand bucket, Annalie was in charge of babysitting the new additions on the ride home. Unfortunately one of them decided to venture out on his own in our Jeep and hid under the seat. After a searching for awhile, he was recaptured and the rest of the drive home was without incident. We had a family "pond-warming" once they arrived home. With great fanfare, Annalie plunked them into the water. I'm not quite sure whether the adults decided to stick around or not--we haven't seen or heard them since. Perhaps the snake had a "pond-warming" ceremony of his own...

  1. Now that would have been a great collection of pictures to see. You know that cameras are pretty cheap to buy since pink Barbie cameras don't seem to take many pictures. Bob
